EuroPac Metrology is please to announce the launch the of Metrotom CT Scanner.This breakthrough in technology combining tomography and metrology now means that small intricate parts with internal cavaties can be scanned and measured extremely accurately without the need for destructive testing.

A series of 2D slices are built to form a 3D representation of the component. In many industries such as aerospace, automotive, electronics, injection moulding and archaeology it is necessary to investigate the geometry of part components, in particular internal cavaties. CT Scanning enables a 3D volume of an object to be created that can be used for reverse engineering, inspection, detecting defects or cracks and rapid prototyping.

Sub Contract Services

Here at EuroPac we appreciate that not all companies have the budget for a new CT scanner; therefore we now offer a full scanning bureau service to aid companies in their product development. This service incorporates reverse engineering, inspection, rapid prototyping and defect detection.

A trinagle surface model is created for external and internal surfaces. The geometry of the component is interogated and the 'design intent' is derived from the model. A full parametric CAD model is produced ready for re-maunfacture.
